Allstate insurance Corona virus discount

We have our house and cars insured with Allstate . Today we received an email from our agent stating Allstate is going to refund 15 percent of the premium for the month of April and May . Anyone else get a similar email ?

The email stated a estimated refund of 600 million nationwide . I thought it was a great gesture . I am sure it will help some folks more than others but every little bit helps .

I know it is a big corporation, but please send your agent a text/email thanking them. I had my property manager send a rebate to the majority of my tenants, and they received checks between $100 - $350 on Saturday. It will continue for May, like Allstate is doing. I am a landlord of a property with about 40 units. Of those, only 3 said thank you.

As a long time landlord, IMO that was a mistake. It tends to have the exact opposite of its intended effect. In the long run it’s best to just keep it business.
