Identify the car in the picture

I'm trying to identify the blue car beside the building. Ignoring the Volvo in the foreground...sorry for the poor quality picture.
Thanks!!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1586480764.jpg

Maybe a Studebaker Champion?

herr_oberst 04-09-2020 06:44 PM

Borgward Isabella

Norm K 04-09-2020 06:51 PM

Borgward was my first thought, too, along with the Standard Vanguard, but I don't think it's either of those.

long shot, but looks like a Panhard to me too, but no clue which model.

It is a Panhard Dyna Z. I cheated. Looked it up on Google Images.

1962 Humber Snipe?

Otter74 04-10-2020 08:44 AM

That's not a Panhard Dyna. It's about the right size, but there are separate fender and hood forms, the headlights are too far apart and too low on the body. It's a tough challenge!

I don't think there's enough resolution in that photo to have much of a shot. Curious- is there a reason this is important? Can you get a better photo?

Volvo PV 544 with front end damage?
The grill in the far away picture looks non-symmetric so I assume some grill damage and edges are fuzzy.
And hard to tell the shape of the hood in the pic.

Considering all the Swedish cars around, I would guess it is a Volvo or a Saab of some type.

Sorry for the crappy photo...I didn't take it.
A bit of the back story....the property is in a rural setting, was at one time a Datsun garage, then Volvo. The old owner has passed on and a friend is interested in the property. He took the photo and noticed the interesting blue car beside the building.

Given the Volvos ... I'm guessing perhaps and old Amazon? It's a bit of a drive away from me...perhaps I may get out for a self isolating drive and check it out.

Thanks for the guesses. Some pretty interesting cars that I've never heard of. Keep them coming...!!
