Nursing home deaths
Hopefully after this covid 19 situation is over...the nursing homes are more diligent in their practices.
Around here, the rate is over $70K/year. For that rate..would expect better.

17 deaths in a room for 4. The only other time I've heard of that is in a crematorium.
Which is a completely different situation.

Ours is still 0 infections. We have a wing set aside for isolation should we get one, or if the hospitals get over run.

^^^ Do you know the monthly or yearly rate of the ones in your area?
I may be wrong on ours...it was 10 year ago when I last heard.

I don't know for sure and I am not sure it would relate. We are a 501c3 and run mostly off donations so we don't turn anyone down based on ability to pay. I would bet full price is in the 60-70k range. Maybe.
I am the head of IT so I nevver really get involved in those numbers.

There was a home 90 miles from here that had 35-40 people infected and it is a much smaller facility. Makes you wonder sometimes on how soon they locked everything down.

A facility in CA had to evacuate 75 residents because 16 of 17 CNAs decided to not show up for work.

This is in Canada. I had heard of a similar occurrence in Spain a while ago.

I'm not at all surprised. If not for my constant visits to my Moms facility she'd have spent her days in relative squalor. It wasn't a state facility but not top of line either, only $4K a month.
