Fishing holiday in Canada
I have been enjoying a fishing holiday in Canada for 45 years or so. Typically we drive well up into Quebec, camp on Crown Land, fish for a week then come home.
This year's trip is scheduled for May 22. I know the border restriction is on until May 21, but I can't find anything about what we would need to do to come in on the 22nd. If it just won't work we will go somewhere in the US, but it just won't be the same. Thanks Guys!

I doubt the border will be open
In Canada we are getting things under control and the U.S. situation is concerning. In the next week or two I would expect another announcement from our Prime Minister to extend the restrictions preventing travelers from the U.S. from entering Canada. His daily briefings are broadcast on Youtube To keep up to date on it do a search for "prime minister trudeau covid" NOTE: if it does open you will likely have to go into quarantine Here is a government web page where you can stay informed https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/publications/diseases-conditions/2019-novel-coronavirus-information-sheet.html = = = = = from the web site (advice for Canadians returning home from abroad) = = = You must quarantine without delay Go directly to your place of quarantine without delay and stay there for 14 days from the date you arrived in Canada, or longer if you develop signs and symptoms of COVID-19, or have been exposed to another person subject to the Order who has signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Do not quarantine in a place where you have contact with vulnerable individuals, including those who have an underlying medical condition, compromised immune system from a medical condition or treatment, or are 65 years of age or older. Ensure you have a suitable place of quarantine that has the necessities of life. Ensure you wear an appropriate mask or face covering, especially while in transit. Practise physical distancing at all times. Use private transportation such as a private vehicle if possible. Do not make any unnecessary stops on your way to your place of quarantine.

I wish it was a better topic, but glad I could help.
Enjoy your vacation wherever you end up

We are currently thinking we will try to go into Maine. A couple guys are thrilled with the prospect of trout fishing, other guys not so much.
Thanks!

Welcome to the canceled Canada Fishing Trip Club. We were scheduled to do a Manitoba fly in on May 23, arriving and staying the night before for an 8:00 A.M. float ride, Poof, up in smoke with the new restrictions which may be extended according to Trudeau. Additionally, 2 of our guys are CA residents which poses a problem for them and one of them is an epidemiologist and isn't getting any vacation time anytime soon.
Thankfully, our outfitter/host has let us reschedule for the same week next year with no $$ changes for us. So, instead of a week chasing big pike and wallys, I will be at my place in N. WI chasing LM bass and crappies. Not quite the same but I am sure it will still be enjoyable, especially if we hit the crappie bite.

This is going to effect a lot of fishing trips.
No US tournaments for the Canadian boys.

We just kicked it around on Zoom. (Getting some of these fishermen on Zoom isn't easy). We agreed that we will plan a fall trip instead.
We have done fall trips before - it isn't that big a deal. Since we just go camp on crown land we don't have reservations - we just go and do as we please.
