I think the Giulia is gorgeous, and I wish I was rich enough to buy 3 of them. That way I'd be able to drive 1 at least 3 days a week.
|
Neighbor had a new one. Kept dying on him unexpectedly. Happen several times. In frustration he wanted the dealer to buy it back. They wouldn’t till he was in the process of taking them to court under the Lemmon law. Finally they gave in and took the car back.

I just don't see myself buying a salvage title car unless it was 1 REALLY cheap and 2 destined to be an extra/toy vehicle. Neither of those sound like they'd fit either criteria.

If I had the money and it was my weekend toy I would absolutely lease one. Probably not the GTA though.

such a beautiful car.

From what I read - and I read a lot because I wanted one - the early cars had a lot of software issues. There is not serious flaw in the quadrifoglio engine per se, like say an IMS, RMS, secondary air passages, exploding clutcesh, head studs, wait - that's all 911 issues ;-) It's mostly been software crap and on the base car some turbo seals - but I don't care about the base car... You'd think (and it sounds like) they are better now.
The problem remains that they are short on master techs, long wait lists for complex issues repairs, and in my hood, the dealer is slimier than a persian carpet salesman. I want one, under warranty, but I don't need the hassle - I hope they stick with it and make it solid, it's a great car. |
Fiat = mess
Chrysler = mess Fiat + Chrysler = mess^2 |
Someone mentioned my buddy with the Alfa as being economically "upgraded."
No. Not really. There is a story. Not a good one. Be grateful for what you got. He would trade places with 90+ % of you. |
2018 Giulias $18K and you know they’ll deal and deal - tempting, like a redhead
