Any chance this is not a scam?

I'm saying no. It's been up for 29 days.

What do they get out of posting these things? Do people actually send them money?

craigster59 05-07-2020 01:53 PM

Why would you describe the AC and heater performance? That's the last info I want on the car.

It's a scam.

For sale here.

So..... ask for my cashier's check back?

Makes one think. What is a good way to post a car for sale if you are determined to not let your photos get stolen. Interesting exercise in online security. How do you get a prospective buyer to request photos without looking like a scammer yourself ?

Steve Carlton 05-07-2020 02:55 PM

You could watermark the photos.

I've had pictures stolen of our houses for sale, then they post them in the for rent section on craigslist.

Used to be able to right click the pics, than google search would find other instances. Now they modify/reverse the pics.

Good idea. What would you write as the watermark?

Steve Carlton 05-07-2020 03:46 PM

Not a scammer.

Just kidding. Something to identify it as yours, like craigslist Omaha or something, right in the middle of the picture where it can't be cropped out. A scammer would probably just steal someone else's photos. Removing it in photoshop would be a PITA.

It's less of a scam than shutting down the whole country.

The heater works great?

In a '69 911?

That claim alone screams scam.

Can you give it a fiki’n rest? You and island have to inject your whine into every thread. Enough already. There is more going on in the world than what you’re crying about.
