The proper grip will allow you to manage the recoil and come back on target quickly. Most people jump right in and start double tapping too soon. Get a good understanding of the fundamentals and your speed will increase. Smooth is fast.

Bob Vogel is one of the very best.. Watch his videos and practice what he preaches.... You will get better. His grip is a must if you are doing speedshooting. The less the gun moves, the quicker you can see the front sight again and squeeze. I had a private lesson with him and have watched him shoot at IDPA competitions. He is like a machine. He can draw and double tap head shots at 20 yards with a .45 Glock faster than I can do the same at 7 yards just getting chest shots with my 9mm Glock.
