Sloan Motorcars, Connecticut - Experiences?and
I have been checking their website for several years, and they seem to me to specialize in low mileage, lightly used cars. And they seem to have some of the rarer models and the colors.
I understand the owner passed some time ago and now the son runs the place. I am cognizant of the fact that just because they look good, doesn’t mean they are. I live near the former location of the “high-end” consignment dealer CNC Motors, who epically crashed and burned a few years ago, and about 15 years ago I even had work done at CPR Porsche in Fallbrook, that we learned a few weeks ago appears to have taken a similar path. All that said, I am considering purchasing a car from Sloan, and I’m looking for any real life experiences/reviews from anyone who knows the place. Any info would be much appreciated, thank you!

Hey David, they have a long held reputation for dealing in super-low mileage Porsches in mint condition but not cheap. I don't have any personal experience in dealing with them but I've spoken with Brett on the phone about a car and he seems like a good guy and definitely a real "car guy."
As anything, do your due diligence but I've followed them for eons, (think Hemmings in the pre-internet days), how they find the cars they sell has always been a mystery to me. Their rep is solid. Good luck and let us know if you buy something? I'm sure it will be exceptional.

I too have always wondered where they got their cars. Their pricing is similar to Merit Partners, yeah its for sale in their "collection" but at an insane asking price.

I will qualify my answer with the fact that Brett is a friend and has sold cars for me
You will not find a more honest, genuine person then Brett. Period His and the business's rep draws the low mile super select cars. He gets some really unique pieces Great guy to deal with

Been a while since I browsed their site, but I'm pretty sure there's plenty of discussion on Sloan on the 911 tech forum. I think that's where I first heard of them.

Not so many years ago, they would typically have early 911S coupes with under 10k miles in showroom condition, zero paintwork, etc... Just mind-blowing quality merchandise. They still do but it tends to be newer stuff now, 964s and 993s, some G-body cars, still some older stuff.
It's one of those places that caters to the very richest of enthusiasts or collectors, guys like Seinfeld or Bruce Meyer. The prices are very high.

My car came from Sloan in the early 2000s. Owner before me bought it there. Only observation I have is the original add says “sport seats” but my car doesn’t and never had sport seats. Otherwise I have admired their inventory for years and have read mostly positive reviews.
Nick Murray visited a few years ago which gives a glimpse into the place as it currently is. Cant embed https://youtu.be/qDs6f1jLzew?si=dzk70nBs1mJrqCC0
