Yeah, coulda used one of those!

Yeah, I remember when they started "hanging off", with the duct taped on knee sliders. Those gave way to leathers with provisions for replaceable knee pucks. Then we started seeing the same things on their elbows, and we knew they were getting serious. Now some of the guys touch their shoulders to the ground, without falling off. What next - a wheel on the side of the helmet?

Wow, Marquez is really a great rider. Not real likeable, but skills to no end. Must drive the other guys (esp Valentino) crazy.

I remember the feel of the slider the first time I did it too. I also remember the first time I used my knee to save a front end wash out - can't imagine what my heart rate was!

I remember once getting to start my H-D Duo Glide Panhead on the first kick. Nobody saw it.

But there always was lots of people watching when I'd nearly be thrown over the handle bars when I'd get caught on the wrong side of the stroke, on about the 12th try.
That bike was a beauty. Sold it to somebody in Denmark who out weighed me by about 400 lbs.

I'll try to dig out a photo (of the bike) not the 499 pounder.
