Good to hear from you and glad that it sounds like you are on the way back up. I hope you continue to improve mentally and physically.

Come here for more support and therapy (but probably best to avoid PARF).

We'll be idiots, sometimes intelligent, often amusing or entertaining, and occasionally post pics of nice examples of the opposite sex.

i wish you the best and all the strength in the world...
get better my friend.

Dude.
I'm reminded of a line from a movie:
Quote:

Will Emerson: Listen, nothing I'm gonna say is going to make you feel any better. It's just going to suck for a while and then you'll be fine.

grab ahold of something to look forward to and don't let go.
Imagine what it could be, what it would look like if everything worked out just right.
Focus on that and you can make it happen. Get help to make it happen.
A man with nothing to look forward to goes into self-destruct mode.

Today, right now, you are on an endless ladder.
You need to be looking up and trying to grab that next rung, but you've been climbing down instead. Not good. Sometimes the best you can do is hold on and not slip but you need to be looking up at that next rung, reaching for it!
Consider it a personal challenge, I challenge you to get your **** together and climb that ****ing ladder! It sounds like you are starting to get it back together, keep it going.
Prove to me and everyone else you can do it. Show us.
**** if it'll help, start a thread and post in it every day about it. I don't give a damn if it's embarrassing.
PM sent.

Scott,

Glad to hear from you. Good you are getting better. Come here for support. There has been several "stop drinking" threads, maybe revive one or start a new one. I have been sober, stopped my moderate drinking, coming up on 2 years and loving it.

Take care and let us know what we can help with.

PM sent. Be Well friend. These are very trying times.

Hey Scott good of you to check in and let us know what's up with you.

Sorry to hear of your tough transition into retirement.
Maybe you are not well suited to leasure life. Perhaps a part time job or volunteering some place that needs your help would be good for you.

Hopefully as things settle down for you, your wife will see things differently and reconnect with you.

At any rate good to have you back with us. All the best going forward!

Cheers Richard
