After being an owner of two Optima red tops....I will say 'never again'

First one lasted 12 years before I replaced it for fear of it due to die. The same type replacement didn't even make 3 years. (same car)
Replaced that one with a Walmart battery and it's been working fine now for 5 years.

Understood but really no different than Home Depot, Loews, Target and the list goes on. It’s an evolution of commerce that the free market made successful. Grocery stores displaced butcher shops and the milk man too. Walmart is an American company employing hundreds of thousands of folks, many of which would be in dire straits without that job. I’m a fan.

Did you notice in the video that the WalMart battery said distributed by Johnson Controls, not made by Johnson Controls?

Just some antics, or semantics. lol

I was a sears' battery kind of guy, but turned to walmart for quite some times now. My experience with Walmart battery is that they works as any other battery's manufactures works. Meaning, I don't have any complain. They price use to be a lot lower compare to others, but not that low any more.

Hey guys hope everyone is well . First off let me say up front I don't enjoy shopping at Walmart , I have often called them the evil empire 😁 . Fast forward to yesterday when I notice battery acid stains on the concrete floor ☹️ .

Turns out the passenger side battery is cracked. ! This is in my 2001 GMC diesel dually and she takes two . The Interstate batteries in there now are six years old so I decided to replace both .

Called three different local parts stores and for a battery with 800 CCA /1000 CA they were all $159.00 with a core charge of 18.00-22.00 each . Checked Walmart website and they are $98.00 each with a $12.00 core charge . Saving over $60.00 for EACH battery !!! Is Walmart's volume so high they can beat the competition by that much ? We all know there are just a few battery manufacturers in the world and they are all good . These are the standard size GM spec # 78 batteries and the same 3 year replacement battery . It pays to shop around .
