12V 18 ah battery question

I have a lil' scooter I bought for my kid when they were small. They were way too small for it. That's me being a dummy buying them older boy's toys thinking they can learn to play with it. Battery isn't good from sitting without keeping charged. Now, I see these battery from 30 bucks all they way up to 75 bucks. Any difference? Seal lead acid is so much more then the AMG. I thought AMGs were always more money because they do not spill and can be mounted upside down. The longer the Amp hour, the longer the run time?

My understanding is that an AGM (absorbed glass mat) is a SLA (sealed lead acid) battery. It’s just a style of it. In any kind of toy, you’ll want an SLA battery. And yes, the larger the ah, the more run time. But be careful, the larger capacity comes with a physically larger battery.

I don't know what size you need, but I've used this one in my ATV, $25, https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I1KMLTO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For kids toy I'd buy cheap sealed battery like above, and charge it with an intelligent charger/maintainer. I have an older version of this: https://smile.amazon.com/Schumacher-SC1301-Automatic-Battery-Charger/dp/B0756PV96T/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=Schumacher+charger&qid=1589642741&s=automotive&sr=1-6
that I use all the time. But I can select 2,4 or 6 amps. Suprisingly the 6 amp setting will typically charge a car battery enough to start in an hour or 2.

This charger looks good too: https://smile.amazon.com/Schumacher-SP6-Automatic-Battery-Charger/dp/B00WG4LSTU/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=SCHUMACHER+ELECTRIC+SP6&qid=1589643669&sr=8-5
