I know there aren't many NASCAR fans here (OK, maybe none), but I figured there'd be more than 2 pelicans watching.

I thought it was pretty ballsy to have the drivers line up for the start with no practice time, no qualifying, no nothing. Just wide open into turn one with only the set up they had when they rolled off the trailers and a couple of warm up laps.

If he was my driver, he would be fired today. 4 wide in a turn at Darlington?

I watched...and agree with you.

I thought they did quite well. The guys were competing like they had normal prep time. The fast guys were fast or got fast after a few adjustment and the not so fast guys were not terrible.

I watched the race. It was interesting to see how they would do after not being in the cars for 71 days. The real losers were Stenhouse & Johnson who took themselves out of the race early.

I was watching, then got busy smoking ribs and doing yard work and forgot that I wanted to watch, but did catch the end.

Thought it was pretty cool for them to run what they brought.
