On the road today I saw a new Jaguar with a license plate that read "7 1776"

Well, there are Korean cars called KIA, as in killed in action. One of their models is called the Soul.

I don’t imagine they are driven by too many Korean War Vets.

Waiting for Vietnam to start making a car called the MIA. First model named the Pow.

Kind of like Chevy marketing in Mexico with the Nova. In Spanish "not going".

Or a Japanese company making a Tinian or Eniwetok model.

we do have the beloved 911.

I think the irony is an American who loves an English car yet brutally states our independence from them.

I suppose more accurately, it simply reflects the globalism that the world reflects today (or at least used to be before Covid 19 et al)
