What is this car(s)

My cousin's husband has a car addiction well past mine which is nothing to trifle with, he just picked up 4 bodies with enough parts to build 3 cars. There may not be enough in this pic to say what car is but there is one clue relating to the company and WWII.

I, for one, feel that drunken wild ass guesses are a fundamental part of this forum.

Without this, we would not have Tabs.

Well iv been wanting to get one or something like it. Plus im into early jeeps so I know about them. I really like the austin sevens because they have the big spoked wheels but iv also been looking out for an mg tc or j2 style car. Havnt had any luck finding anything plus they are expensive so started building my own out of junk sitting around its going to take a while but iv got time. I just want it for bashing around offroad anyway. This is from a few weeks ago when i just got going but its starting to look like a car now

Very cool project, they seem like neat little cars, never heard of them until my cousin posted on FB. I was trying to fit the Jeep reference into the clue without giving it away with a google search.

I think when Tony Lapine was at Porsche, he had the special works department make him an MG TC with a Fiat 124 Twin Cam engine and a 5 speed.
I always wanted to make a Lotus 7 replica with that engine, although later I wanted a supercharged Miata engine.

I knew a guy who had one with a Honda VTec, and another guy with a Spitfire with a Toyota 4A GE Twincam and a Miata rear sub frame. The car had an under slung frame, and weighed about 1800 pounds. I drove that car a number of times, but I do not fit well in Spitfires. It was a real ripper though, and did well at autocross. You could throw it hard into a turn, and it would take a perfect set. It never bit if you over drove it.

Yeah they didnt make a whole lot of them they wernt around very long between the depression and wwII. Iv only seen a few in real life they are quite small with the cute little flathead. Iv got a Bantam t3-c trailer to go with my 46 Jeep. Its a well built unit iv hauled alot of weight in it.
