Shred it!
 

The wifey and I went walking the dog an hour ago and found some trash on the street, all four items had my name and address, fortunately nothing the trash divers can use, but never the less, 4/4 with my name and address! Shred all that personal stuff, I've been lazy, but never again.

We put out the trash last night for pickup today, I'll check the two front rings, but I don't expect much.

Almost all my junk mail arrives with my name and address on it. Crap that goes straight in the trash, as is.

So what name and address. Anyone with a computer and internet access can find my name from the address on my mail box. The county has my name as the owner of the property in free public records.

Anything with any real data from a business I use is shredded.

My method as well...

I even take the time to peel off my address from delivery boxes... I shred even those junk mail that only say “Current Resident” or “Our Neighbor At”. I don’t want anyone connecting my trash back to me.

^^^^ This! A discarded femur or tibia... plus an address... before ya know it the popo is knockin' on yer door :D.

I’m pretty good about shredding everything important. What they got was junk, but it reminded us they are out there. Gonna put the trash out in the mourning, not the night before. Ring didn’t see anything.
