Spec Dallara chassis. Shocks are open, I believe. There are some adjustment options for front and rear wings.

The formula has produced competitive, exciting racing.

It's done to keep costs down. Seems to work. Sure, I'd prefer that everyone show up with their own unique self-built cars, as in years past, but those days are probably over. The engines are different (Honda and Chevy, with other rumored to be on the way), as are the shocks.

The racing is exciting and tight in every venue. You should give it a try and see if you like it.

You might like CrashCar/Nascar where they do high speed bumper cars
or,
F1-Politics control the rules, team orders determine who is allowed to lead, and a few teams with the money are always winning and the rest fight over the leftovers.

Por_sha911 06-06-2020 02:09 PM

Well, qualifying was different since its the first race and they've had virtually no practice time. I have to say that the new car in U-GLEE but form follow function.

Effing WESH is hung up on doppler winds instead of the race. Bastards.

I gave the aeroscreen a chance but i don't love it... Especially on the yellow cars...

With the very trimmed out oval rear wing, looks like this:

Hoping it looks more balanced on a road course... Good to see racing live again - still not a fan of ovals, but beats watching sim racing !

astrochex 06-07-2020 02:51 AM

Its fugly no doubt, but its not coming off.

KFC911 06-07-2020 02:58 AM

Oval racing....why are they always run counter clockwise? I can drive in either direction.... I'm amphibious :D

I was surprised he ran as good as he did for as long as he did .

Agree. I wish he'd win the Indy 500 and retire.

Always been my thoughts, too. Not a fan, seems to have the Andretti whine like Michael. Michael was, however, a kick azz driver.

Wow you are wishing for a lot 😁 . The team is good the equipment is good , sadly what is lacking is the skill set of the driver . His last name opened doors that normally would not been open to him . Like Kyle Petty you are almost doomed to follow in the foot steps of greatness . Hard to feel sorry for him I am sure he has made some $$$ .

Based on practice and the condition of the track, I expected a crash fest. Glad it worked out as it did and REALLY glad Indycar is back.
