Wanker! Is this the boss from the temporary summer work that you're doing?
|
Used to happen to my wife. She now hides a similar font in it to ID it as hers.
|
It's too bad you didn't make some sort of error when you sent it out. You could then respond with "when I originally sent this information, I made mistake X, that has been corrected in the new version below.

tape a post-it note to the bottom of the bosses computer mouse...........it'll take them hours to figure out why their mouse doesn't work.
|
Type your signature on it and then change that font color to white.
it only shows up when highlighted. Did that fer years on graphs and technical data that I know would get clipped. |

Write your boss a nice thank you note memo, expressing appreciation that he liked your work.
Don't be smarmy, but sincere. Ask for any guidance for future work for him. BE SURE to save a copy for yourself, your next boss, your performance review, and... for his boss. |

Hehe, good follow up. :) That would have messed up my mind a bit if I were him. I hope he’s not a regular here... :D Or am I?.... SmileWavySmileWavy |
Man that’s a huge pet peeve of mine. I’ve had direct reports for most of my career and have always made it a point to either just forward their email directly or include a note of “thanks to Cliff for the below” or something like that.

One time a guy I worked with switched the E and R keys on my keyboard.
Took me a long time to figure what the heck was wrong. Darn near wore out my backspace button. |
^^^^ So that's why yre sprrling sucks bigly :D

Back to what Sammy said. A lawyer buddy of mine does what he said re: white font. He puts his copyright and ID info on the doc in the border or something. Totally invisible. But, searchable.
Then when he gets ripped off he can hammer them. Might be a useful tip for someone. |
Just tell him it was mission statement...

Deadbeat boss.
Next time insert, “And I always like to massage my gentleman parts in public” |
Give him a copy of this:

Wife: "I asked/told you XYZ before!" Husband: "No, you told/asked me '123' before, but you never mentioned XYZ." There's no winning that argument without the NSA. You've got to have a wire and you've then got to have a way to quickly search the audio to find the conversation or text. |
For memos and the like, I add my email address to the cc line so I have a for the record copy.
I hate thought stealers. |

Nobody stole shiet from the internal audit reports I wrote working for big oil.
Some of them were beauty because you have to tell them they are ugly and so are their kids. Across my 25 years the most unfortunate was the "Company Man" on a platform who said the one mile long and a quarter mile wide hydrocarbon sheen on the Gulf of Mexico "Wasn't a f***ing reportable spill" My support staff was an environmental auditor. End of career for the dude. They packaged him out and all that, but the party was over. |
hahah..i sent a huge spreadsheet with scary numbers to him asking for his input.
and i added that some safety inspection follow up was going to happen today. he replied, "it is not unusual for a safety inspector to come back to check if work was done correctly" i said, "i asked him to visit to check my work, this was not a surprise" he always goes with the low hanging fruit. the numbers part..silence. it is so funny to me. i think i am going to start smoking dope to dull the sarcasm. hahhahahah. |
On the white font ideas...
I have done this to 2 people in my career after they screwed around with me... Go into their signature in outlook and space down a few lines and then in white font put “P.S. I really like you.” They can’t see it unless it gets replied to in text format or gets printed... Drove one guy absolutely nuts... it was revenge for posting something obnoxious on my office door when I was away for a week of training... it also began an epic practical joke war that lasted nearly 15 years (including hanging taxidermy in his office and bedroom at home when he was on his honeymoon)... He became my right hand man and eventually filled my role as engineering manager when I moved to a corporate role. We are still great friends. |
Now you know how I have felt when I listened to CNBC, FAUX, and CR...then hear tidbits of the thought process through out the society as it got disseminated..
While I did not coin the term "Real Time" I defined it in the beginning as a descriptive to described BO's lack of ability to make decisions in the moment. I used that term in numerous emails to CNBC..where eventually they stated using it on their Equity Ticker Tape...first as "Real Time" as in stock market quotes and then as "RT"... The other one that went to CR was an Email that defined the Arc or Trajectory of History (I didn't coin this one either) ... three weeks after I sent the email, CR has Dr Kissinger and HRC on the program 4/23/11, about 23 minutes into the program they start talking about the contents of email. For instance everyone on this Board knows what a Black Audi is in reference to..yet if you were not on this Board you would go what the fk are they talking about. Sitting there watching I knew exactly what they were talking about. Several weeks later HRC as SOS gives a speech to the Chinese where she uses the term Arc of History and Trajectory of history 3 times..CR shows that clip on his show? The other one is an email that I sent to CNBC on 2/23/13 (and was read by the hosts in real air time, they had even mentioned me on air at one time)..when FED president James Bullard is on as a guest. Isend them the email...they go to break at 5 Am and when they come back Bullards demeanor had changed from being jovial to stuttering for 5 minutes (Even Mother in Tucson who was watching that morning remembered that incident). You should read the FOMC Teal Book for 3/13/13 pg 39. There they discuss the contents my email...even using one of the terms I used in the email twice in the notes. They reference me as being "Some Observers" And one of the Dopes on this Board even said that piece that I sent was poorly written.. Then there is the feedback that I have gotten from one of Mothers friends..Alan Greenspan..as he commented to her about my missives.. So what the fk, I am good at what I do.. And I get a lot of BS from you people.. Jeremy Grantham is a guy who runs a 150B Capital Mgt Fund and is quoted from time to time...In early 2012 I start writing about the economy running between 1.6% to 2.5% growth..which I thought at the time was the rate of pop growth (1.6%). I disseminated that to all the usual places including CR.. By late summer early fall Grantham writes and oped a piece stating the same thing. In December he shows up on CR stating his thoughts.. Earlier Grantham had opeded a piece about certain rare individuals that had a unique perspective about the world and future events. He surmised that those individuals had a an uncommon cross over wiring from the right brain to the left brain. Being street smart ..savvy and knowing there are no coincidences and that thing are not always as they seem I have always wondered about that visit. Here is the deal something may or may not be you just have to chalk it up as an unknown for the moment. But you never stop trying to rectify the equation as new data comes in. |
Are you sure?
