Stijn, if you go to your area Ford dealer, you may be able to be the first to get the new Mach one Mustang. We know that you really want one...
Ford short video. Wow..just look and listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVXPb2GQqO4 (edit) While in there, you might ask for details about the latest GT500... |
man, you must be getting some seriously powerful meds down there in Oregon..
A video of some rumbling stangs cruising a race track at idle is supposed to convince anyone?? ROFL Can you list the meds?? |

In years past, the time that elapsed between record runs was fairly substantial. Now it seems that each time someone achieves a new record, that result induces one or two others to try it. I think it’s getting just a wee bit too much attention. |

Even with 130 gallons of fuel, I wonder how many times he had to fill up

you can do that kind of distance/average in a bog standard diesel VW golf. |

What 178kph average beyond the abilities of a Golf? 2.0 TDI Blue motion does 209 kph has 140PS The longer you drive without stopping, the less you need to accelerate, eg the less it matters how fast you got to the speed needed to maintain the average. It's about consistency.. Hence the extra fuel tanks.. which you can also add to a bog standard Golf.. You don't need a mustang to keep that average going, you don't need big HP to keep going at a consistent steady speed.. I used to drive to Les Deux alpes in my 90 hp mark III Golf TDI On the return.. 904 km to my house.. i departed at 12h00 and arrived at 19h30.. Do the math That included mountain roads. That included refueling That included toll booths I was overtaking the locals on the mountain roads. I was constantly chasing Saab Turbo's and big Mercs on the Highway. That was 20 years ago, so a modern day Golf can defo beat that. |
There was an article years ago in Car & Driver about a couple of guys that sealed themselves in a Golf/Rabbit for a cross country run. Believe they added a fuel tank in the spare tire well.
