Rum question

I am trying to make Pain Killers for my wife's birthday. I read someplace to use Spiced rum and a coconut flavored rum. I went and bought the both but now I can't find the recipe. Anyone know what the blend is for the rums? I also have the orange juice, pineapple juice, cream of cocont and nutmeg.

Thanks.

If you searched on your computer, you may want to check your browser history (usually hitting <ctrl>-h will pull up your history). I think most browsers allow you to search your history too.

Did ya get Seahawk's rum for the spiced one? I've never been a rum drinker, but a female sailing buddy always brought her bottle of Captain Morgan when she came on board :D

Most Painkiller recipes use Pusser's rum.....

A twist on the Piņa Colada, the Painkiller cocktail is a rich and fruity tropical drink that is a specialty of the British Virgin Islands and was trademarked in the 1980s by Pusser's.

Its for my wife's birthday and her girlfriends at the beach that I am trying to cater. Considering I only cook eggs, this should be a challenge.

I talked to my bartender friend and he said to make it with the coconut rum and then add a layer of the spicy rum on top for visual appeal.

So I'll do that, a slice of pineapple and an umbrella in a clear plastic cup. Hopefully it works. A little J Buffett and they should be good to go.

Thanks guys.

For the record, I recently discovered rum as a drink I should have more often. Provides me a warm, fuzzy buzz that I have had any hangovers from yet but very tired the next day. Could be the dancing.

I haven't been able to drink rum since doing shots with Bacardi 151 and Coke at a UMass party while in college. Was in a "coma" for 9 hours.

LOL... I lied earlier when I said I've NEVER been a rum drinker. Well... in four decades .... since Bacardi 151 back in college :D.

I have some Appleton's Rum which is pretty tasty.

For Christmas we do the German tradition of "Feuerzangenbowle" which is spiced/ mulled wine with a spatula over the punchbowl that holds a sugar cone. You drench the cone in Bacardi 151 and light it and the burning sugar drips into the wine, very festive.

Except for California. Apparently we can smoke all the weed we want but alcohol above 120 proof is verboten.
