I suppose taking your daughter around the 'ring at speed seems a bit daft, but she really seems to be having a good time. Apparently she has done 250 laps

I took my wife and kids around a few weekends ago. My 14 yo daughter loved it so much she went on 4 more laps. She took video with my phone (no video allowed and no timing of laps ;) ). She was laughing the whole time! We were in a Polo GTI, so we got passed a lot. I would call out what car was coming up a she loved seeing a GT3 fly by a few feet away from us.

Yes, it's not the fastest car, but it was fun pushing that little car around the corners. The Apex crew put huge stoptec breaks and sticky tires , so there was a lot of late breaking.

I learned real fast not to try and keep up with GT3s and AMGs after getting passed. They had way too much performance and I would likely had an accident.

I'm headed back up tonight for a intro track day tomorrow. I'm doing a few laps in a peeped M4. No in car instructor due to C19. :(

My GT3 was picked up in a Germany and did the ‘ring with its first owner.

I'm not sure how many GT3s are in Germany, but I think I was passed by all of them during my 6 laps!

FastFrog, i was planning on going there to run a few laps in June until the Covid thing hit. I still cant make heads or tails of their website as far as which days it's open for tourists, etc.. Any guidance on where to go for more info? I'll be flying into Cologne, spending a day at the ring and then flying back out the next day.

I would reach out to apex Nürburgring. They have a link for the daily track days/ times. Things are really opening up here and today was fun and not crowded.
Everyone at apex speaks English and very helpful.
