So a quick lesson for someone.... So I had my heart broken terribly 8 months ago and honestly was just involved with the wrong woman. We live 2 minutes apart so I still see her at the grocery etc and even changed the start time at work so to not see her on my way to work in the morning. Up until just a few weeks ago we'd had verbal or text conversations and she knows how I felt then/now.
So... last weekend I take a woman I'm seeing to my favorite swimming spot an hour away from home. It's someplace I introduced the ex to and would swim there with her once/twice a week all summer. So I'm doing the date thing with this woman... got the smoked salmon,wine etc... full on picnic date.
I get up to get a swim in and who is 40' away with some chunky dude?? yep Ex... Ex is with some chunky dude (I"m 5'11 165 and doing well for 58). Well.... the woman I'm with you might ask? Well... she's Russian, 45 and looks like the gold standard for hot E Euro women. Ex sees us, has a stink eye moment and storms off with chunky guy not to be seen again.
Karma, thank you .... so if you're going to swim in my lake and bring a date karma's going to kick you butt missy Ex.

Dude, if you can't understand that, I can't explain it to you. Back in the days right after I bought my house and was struggling with the 12.5% mortgage, and all the utilities I had almost no extra cash for dates. I dated a chick for a while that I really liked. She dumped me because I was too poor to lavish her with fancy dinners and gifts. She said I would never be successful in life in the photography industry.

I saw her a few years later at a strip shopping center. She was driving a total POS dented and rusty generic econobox. I was driving my sparkling 911. I know she saw me and my wife and it indeed was a pleasant moment.

I get a smile on similar items. Not romantic disasters, but people who were jerks in the past who haven't hit the trajectory that they imagined.

I hesitate to post a pic of Tetiana.... I will say she is just stunning and the most attractive woman I've ever dated. She's 5'1 and nicely curvy and physically just wow.... Better yet she is funny and always has a smile .... she's sensitive and sweet and I'm happy for moments spent with her. She is absolutely not someone you'd miss seeing.
As far as me finding joy in any of this? I'll say no ... as in my post I've changed the hours I work and even the grocery store I go to in order to avoid seeing the Ex. There is another lake in the same park I never go to she could have been at or a lake she had always gone to 15mins away from home she could have gone to but no... went to the one I like with some dude AND couldn't have missed not seeing my truck in the parking lot.
I actually see the whole thing as sad in that I was really enjoying my day up to that point and her actions I get no joy from.

Good for you when a woman breaks your heart and you get a chance to give it back, even if it’s just a little bit, it sure feels good.
I can’t comprehend how someone doesn’t get that.

There won't be any chance for digging gold here... Yesterday I accepted a position in a company in TX and will be moving away. Honestly I'd like to continue to see her and if she chose to head to TX she'd have a place to land. If she was interested in digging you have to know how many 40+ women there are out there that are a financial mess looking for help (voice of experience here)

Makes me wonder if there are 2 sides to this story.

Some of my ex's can burn forever in h-e-doubletoothpicks and some I still miss.

Of course there are two sides to the story. If it wasn't obvious in any of my previous postings I was terribly hurt by the end of what the ex and I had and I avoid seeing her to the point of changing when I go to work in the am. Her driving an hour away from home to swim at my favorite spot for over 40 yrs , seeing my truck in the lot, and locating herself in the area she knows I absolutely always put myself only shows a disregard for anything I did/do feel regarding her. She probably thought I'd be alone and she could parade in front of me while being with some other guy and I also remember quite well she always treated her ex's not in the best ways.
Seriously all I was doing was having a nice day with a good woman I truly enjoy, far from home on a horribly hot day at my favorite swimming hole not expecting any stupid drama or whatever.
