Any New Year Resolutions?

For me...it's to get more exercise/activity during these 'indoor months'
I'm finding that sitting in a chair for over an hour is taking it's toll.
Jan-March is the targeted time.

i have resolved to continue getting my stuff organized. It's an irony that for all these years I have been buried in projects and really needed the stuff to be organized but didn't have time. Now I have time - because I'm not doing many projects.
I got a good start last year...

Sorted through about a dozen boxes of random nuts and bolts and separated them in to boxes with wood screws, sheet metal screws, 1/4 in. bolts, 5/16 bolts, 3/8 bolts etc.

One thing that has driven me nuts for years is selecting the right drill for Tapcons. The 5/32 and 3/16 are so close together in size that I need my glasses to tell them apart (it didn't help that some of the 5/32s were marked 3/16 because that's the size of Tapcon they're for

). So I sorted them out and painted the 3/16 blue and the 5/32 orange.

In 2021 I'm tackling this mess.

Not so much a new year's resolution, but I am currently undergoing a big transformation out in my pole barn building a new enclosed shop...new ceiling, walls, electrical, windows, and work bench.

This has been keeping me busy for the last week, or two, and will for the next month or two.

A friend of ours has a good resolution...to take a hike in nature every week of the year of at least a mile. It's a good starting point for someone who is soft, and a bit overweight.

I resolve to stop trying to cut fingers off with the band saw on NYE. Fortunately it was a slow afternoon in the ED and was in and out in under two hours. Six stitches and a swag bag of shop towels and three "disposable" surgical steel instruments the doc didn't use to stitch me up. Bye 2020!

My resolution: Learn to make the most perfect ice cream, gelato and sorbets.

Bought myself a really nice ice cream maker before Christmas and although my ice cream is ok, it could be so much smoother in texture.

I guess husband and son better have resolution of eat more frozen desserts.

Did this about 35 years ago and its the only one I've every kept. That doesn't mean that I don't come to realizations that I need to change something. Then this happens I now have the motivation to make it work (maybe because I am desperate enough?).
