Exercise bands - don’t those things scare you?

I’ve seen a guy get a welt when a band snapped in half. I’ve hit myself on the chin once when a stirrup handle slipped off the knot on the end of a band. Yet I see some crazy exercises being done with bands that look stretched to their limit. An accident waiting to happen, don’t you think?

key is to use fresh ones...

Don’t overstretch them either. No more than double their unstretched length.

Great for home gym use.

I know Harry Reid isn't fond of them.

I use them every day. I wouldn't pull on one towards my face.

I know a guy that looped one around a wooden bedpost with a turned knob detail on the top. Yeah, you can guess where this is going. The knob broke off and "sling-shotted" into his face. No permanent damage, but could have been bad.

Be careful with what you anchor those things.

Great for snapping flies though
