I don't know what the limitations are in homes subject to 115-120 though, so that would be interesting to hear about. |
Your AC recycles the air inside. If it pulled in outside air it’d only cool it about 30 degrees. It does the same thing with inside air until it reaches an equilibrium based on what temp you set the tstat.
And it was hot and humid here about an hour outside of Houston. I spent several hours out in the heat on my tractor and when I came in about 4pm I was completely drenched all the way through to my undies. Very uncomfortable. It’s so hot in my shop that I had an electrician out today installing two 10’ industrial ceiling fans in one half of my shop. I’m going to partition it down the middle with the two fans on the first half where the lift and my tools are. I’m looking at installing AC in that half also because I can’t take the heat anymore and I’ve lived here all my life. Sorry for the thread jack Tony |
When I was much younger, on our west pac cruises we would get several days to Pearl Harbor, a little warmer, then 10 days to Subic Bay and it steadily got warmer so by the time it was 95 degrees or better you would get used to it. Summer time in the PI or Singapore or Thailand would be 95 to 99 degrees and 99% humidity and at times monsoonal rain storms. So I learned to live with it and barely ever would sweat, different now in old age!

I've been reminded what 101 feels like for over 30 days in a row....and right now. H2O break is over.... back to pushing a mower & edging is gonna be even more fun :D.
Summer in the south :) |
Three most stressful things in life:
Death Divorce And a family vacation @ 120 degrees in Lake Havasu with 3 dogs & G-kids. Thought I'd clear my head, time for a speed run; real challenge @ 70 mph on the water it feels like standing in a jet engine exhaust. Power to the RV park went out @ 2 o'clock and everyone bailed into their vehicles or onto the Lake. Daughter brought me two cases of LONE STAR, so I be happy in the end |
Man someone raised that daughter right.
Good luck with those vacations Tony |
Az is way too hot for liberals (Ca)...if you are conservative come on down...
I will run in the desert at anything up to 100 degree's....but not over 100....too hard to rehydrate. |
