Need a new email...HELP
I decided that I’m not giving my personal email out to one more business in this lifetime. It’s already ruined w 99% spam everyday but still, no mas. Every time you do it, you’re giving away something that the business will sell to others for profit.
Anyhow, I tried to get a hotmail account and discovered that it’s now outlook. Ok, no problem...I’ll set up one of those. Just anything that isn’t my personal account. Every single potential email address I put in popped up a warning that it was part of a “reserved domain” or some schit. I put in really obscure, non-sensical words and same thing. Can anyone recommend a simple, free email to use these days? TIA. |
Gmail. Built in spam filter too.

Gmail works fine for me.

Si

New address..............
+1 for Gmail. And, keep it as quiet as possible.

I use Zoho since it builds into some business solutions and apps my company uses.

The only way to get another gmail is to open another, separate google acct. Looking for a simple hotmail. Thanks. |

I had a few listed different email providers listed. Then I checked the web and found that this seems to list several of them, so maybe a little light reading https://www.lifewire.com/best-free-email-accounts-1356641 < /edit > |

I'd do something like "slyrussianhacker@yahoo.com" That should cut down on the junk mail.
|
I've set up an email as "spam"lastname@domain.com - which I use for populating email for things that are not personal/important.
I don't even bother with checking the account - anything going to it is going to either be spam or garbage. |
iv still got the same excite.com account i made in 2001

$12 a month gives you your own website and mail server.
Unlimited email addresses... |
I bet that ‘littleweiner@gmail.com’ is available though I have not checked...

You opted in. Start unsubscribing or flag as spam. Flag as spam/junk will set a filter and you'll stop seeing it. You'll eventually have the same issue with Hotmail or any "new" account if you don't look for and tick the optout on signup or otherwise actively manage what you sign up for. |
Yahoo!
No, don't. It's terrible. |

No issues at all going that route, and they also give you several "alias" accounts as mentioned previously. YMMV... |
From another thread:
"I have 5 gmail email addresses. One is for all the financial and health care institutions I deal with. Nothing but financial and health care emails in and out. No spam. One for friends and family. ONLY friends and family in and out. No spam. One address for stuff that's free if you give your email address. Holy crap the amount of spam I get. One is for on-line merchandise orders. A fair amount of spam, but not un-managable. The other one hardly gets used, I haven't really assigned a specific use for it yet. |

There's also a trick in gmail where it ignores anything after a "+" sign in the email.
So, your email might be "myemail@gmail.com", but you can also get mail at "myemail+spam@gmail.com" and "myemail+advertisement@gmail.com". It'll all come to your Gmail account, and you can use filters to send it to different folders. You can either keep it separate or destroy it, and you can see who Overstock sold your "myemail+onlyforoverstock@gmail.com" email to... |
