Re-purposing a horse shed...
Or, how my brother is gaining more garage space by reusing already existing roofs...
What he started with: ![]() Needs to have the walls taken down and weeds removed. So, we took down the walls first: Then, he rented a tractor to help with the weed removal... Next, he got his guys (he found some really good guys that will work weekends for him) to remove the 'gates' that were making up the middle wall and to remove the weeds the tractor couldn't get. They then put up some forms for concrete too. ![]() Next came the 'crete pour... ![]() After that it was time to put some siding on the 'shed' as we call it. This is re-purposed sheet that he picked up at the metal recycler. The wood we took out from the walls is used to back the metal siding. ![]() ![]() The 'gates' were reused as the shed doors to keep the cars from getting out when they aren't supposed to be out. This is the stack of wood we ended up with after taking the walls down. Had to power wash all the horse s*** off it, but it came pretty clean.

Great project, Scott. Even horses would appreciate it more.

Thanks Marv. It has been a lot of fun work getting his new place ready to go. Me more than him I'm afraid, as I'm not under the gun to get moved in. He is.
I should start a thread on the shop build too, but I don't think he'd say it's ready for prime time just yet.
