I remember 1980s LA smog.
We had "smog days" air so bad, we couldnt go outside.. CARB is a total racket, but the air is SO much cleaner now. Even more so after COVID.

Yeah, I remember traveling into the City of Pittsburgh to go see Grandma in the 1970's. It was dirty and smelly, all the houses looked as if they were covered in soot.
When I work on all those old rental houses down there, there is always a black sooty layer in any walls you open up , or any attics.
