Why you don't leave your phone
On the tailgate of your truck. Wallet and phone on the gate, loaded the wheels, shut the gate, iPhone 6 got crushed in the hinge. Only good part is I've been trying to make an appointment at the Apple store to buy an 11 Pro for 2 weeks now.
What was neat about it is the phone was working all on its own, making calls, texting people, opening up apps. Then it sort of froze. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1597792927.jpg |
I thought this was about "Why don't you leave your phone number so I can hear it."
Too many people call and ask me to call back, and recite their number so fast there is no way I can capture it and then immediately end the call. When I call someone I tell them who I am and what my number is, then I leave my message, then I tell them my name and number again - twice. Sorry about your phone. |
I had a screen not quite that bad, covered with clear packing tape and I could still use phone.

Ouch, are you saying the orange bar chipped out while you were polishing? And you trashed your phone?
You should go buy a lottery ticket, because you haven't used any good luck for anything else today. My wife left her phone, we think, on the car once in the grocery store parking lot. (this was WAAAY back in the early days of smart phones, with a G1, the first Google phone) I was able to find it using GPS. I went back to the parking lot. It had been run over and thrown in the trash, but still sort of worked (power, showed incoming calls, etc...). |

Cerakote it.
|
Or put it on the trunk of your wife’s car while you are washing your own car, and then she leaves to run and errand.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1597798300.jpg I was able to find it though using Find my iPhone. |
.........in your door pocket.
Just stay alert when it rains. Make sure you roll up your window(s). |
Wife sat hers on the ledge of the trunk on our W212 and slammed it. Similar results. That was after she left it on the roof of her car and drove away. Similar results. This is why she gets my old phones.

After 15 minutes on a main-lane of Interstate 10

I’m still using a 6. I’m holding out for some spectacular new feature before upgrading. The 11 is kind of meh.

That looks pretty cool. Someday soon I'll be getting a kiln so I can restore orange bar badges with correct enamel and gold plate. |

A kiln seems like the sort of thing you would already have one of.
Trying to make an appointment for two weeks is good because you are so busy? |

I can lend ya one. You can return it when you come get that dead trannie out of the back of my truck |
Seems like a dead trannie in the back of a truck in Texas would start to smell bad pretty quick

I'll text you on coming down. |
Be careful buying an iPhone from a private seller. There are a lot of 'fake' iPhones out there. Google what to look for when buying outside of a major chain store.
|
I bought a 6s from Costco for my son after he had lost my old 5s.
I thought it was pretty reasonably priced. I like the look of the SE. Kind of back to 5s shape and size. |
My wife's nephew ran over his week old iPhone with a brush hog. Just some small pieces were left.
I have used an Otter Box for all my iPhones since I moved to a iPhone version 1. I have sold a few old phones, and I need to sell some more old phones, I just hate the Ebay experience of selling. I have never destroyed a phone yet. Like my keys, in my lifetime I have never lost my keys, ever. |

$100 is not a huge exposure. Hope it's got a fresh battery in it. |
Setting up phone now. Very disappointed that in this day and age I can't take the chip out of an established phone and put it into another and the new phone becomes the same as the old one, less any apps the new one doesn't have.
I guess a good idea to back up your phone on a regular basis since I'm restoring from a November 2018 back up. Can't wait to see what that does. |

That's no longer the case. SIMS would have to be SD cards. |

The 11 does everything better. But does nothing new. Make it a stun gun, a night vision scope, something. |

Have a 6 and will hold on to it until the COVID producing 5G goes mainstream. From what I have read, 5G is far from meh
|
I had that happen in an airplane seat, didn’t realize it had fallen in and pushed the landing button and heard it crunch.
Still have an 8S, hoping the 12 is small like the 8, not a phablet |
