Y'all know nothing bout fries, they aren't even French, but Belgian origin.
Mayonaise all the way.. Even better if you can put beefstew sauce along with it. Don't make sense to put fruit sauce (ketchup) on em..

On making fries: In his book "Grinding It Out" Ray Kroc claimed he figured out the secret of the McDonald brother's great french fries. They were in a dry climate and stored the potatoes in bags in back of the store. The potatoes dried out somewhat, and less water in the potato made a crispier french fry. I don't make french fries, but I do love me some fried potatoes with breakfast now and then. Based on Kroc's claim I started slicing the potatoes and cooking them in the microwave for a few minutes, let them steam out while they cool, and then fry them. They do come out crispy on the outside. Been doing it for 25 years.

There's a British Pub here in Santa Clarita (Rose and Crown) that has great food. I always get the fish and chips and they give you a cup of curry gravy on the side to dip your fries. Good stuff!

yeah , lost in translation i think i think y'all call it gravy.. In Belgium we have Frituren , Fritteries.. it's like a small snackbar that sells all kinds of deep fried stuff.. fries with deepfried sausages fries with chicken nuggets fries with whatever, most is deepfried ![]() Trust me, we know fries.. they are not french ![]() Every self respecting town has at least 10 of these a village has 2 if your village doesn't have you in the city center, it's "rural" but we also have Fries with stew ![]() fries with chicken vol au vent ![]() fries with tomato sauce meat balls ![]() The thing is, the beefstew is often to much and expensive But the beef stew gravy ... is awesome with fries and mayonaise.. so we can order it seperate.. Here it's called Frieten met stoofvleessaus.. fries and gravy.. Then you can put regular sauses on top of that, ketchup, mayo, or any of the other 40 snackbar sauces we have around here.. It all depends on what else you put with it.. like saucages, shish kebabs, whatever I grew up in a snackbar.. I tried it all I know combinations that make people raise eyebrows My fave is Fries, Beefstew gravy, mayonaise and American Prepare American is french for ground filet beef (probably something they saw from WW1 merican soldiers) Prepare means , prepared So it's raw ground filet beef, prepped with spices, worchester sauce, an egg and some other stuff.. so it becomes a sort of sandwich spread. It's a speciality of Brussels.. This is actually Steak tartare.. but that's pretty much the basis for Prepare.. some people like to mix i tup in their plate ![]() I don't Good prepare is a treat, you switch butchers if the prepare isn't good everybody has his preference here.. some like it very fine, ![]() some like a bit more course. some put in capers and onions, some go spicey.. It's really a Belgian national dish well i put that on me fries and stew Even here people look funny at it.. But anybody who tries it agrees.. it's amazaballs.. And a massive calory bomb) Anyway.. who needs ketchup when you got all that.

^^^ They look good. Lots of food for a snack!
Are they mostly sold by weight? Approx cost in dollars for one serving?
