Very cool - I went last year (Val Thorens) but COVID kebashed plans to travel this year. Hope to catch a few stages on video. Glad they were able to do the event at all!

Thanks for the heads up Baz!

I just saw a spot on the first days race, on NBC news, they were riding parallel to train tracks and there was a passenger train cruising right along side the Peloton, at the same speed. That would have been so cool to be on that train.

I look forward to seeing some of the stages.

Cheers Richard

Phil just said if a single rider test comes back positive for cv19, the race will be canceled and whomever is in the lead will be declared the winner.

He better be careful with those gummies. They've been known to have an adverse GI impact.

I heard if two people on a team including staff tested positive, the team was out- did they change the rule?

I watched the ad free version that has different commentators today and not the Phil Ligget version.

Just repeating what I heard today, Rutager.

Hope these guys stay negative!

RSBob 08-30-2020 07:33 PM

They better stay negative or my wife will be crushed. She is a more rabid fan than I am dating all the way back to LeMond

Just heard Bob say they have to run the race 10 days to award the Yellow Jersey.

Felt inspired by Le Tour and hit the hills today.

Team Jumbo-Visma putting on a clinic on how to win a stage!

Wow...that was impressive!

And kudos to the kid from Durango, Colorado with that lead out!

This is fun!

Phil: "And Tony Martin has done his job today. They call him "The Panzer""

Or in German if you'd like.....Der Panzerwagen! ;)

Insane how the lead sprinter changed four times so quickly when each one explosively jumped. Best sprint finish I have seen in quite a while. Cudos to Ewan the OZ rider.

Haven't updated in a while but am enjoying the hilly terrain in the recent stages.
