What is it with wives and safety?
 

My wife won't let me climb (Well, try to climb) El Capitan. Or any other big walls in Yosemite. Too dangerous. She won't let me climb Pico de Orizaba (18,491') in Mexico. Mexico is too dangerous. Denali? Nope. What's a guy to do?

Why can't wives heed these wise words of Ferris Bueller?: "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

Bad fall and you could also miss it. But that's just me. For some weird reason, at age 76, the time left becomes more precious.

Might also be because a friend, a youngster of 73, just emailed telling me he has bone cancer...prognosis 4 months to a year. Yep, I'm a bit bummed out now. The male urge is to "fix" things. No fix here...:(

My wife won't let me ride anything with two wheels.

Every single time i leave the house I have to hear "be careful, go slow" Well, one out of two ain't bad.

She does not want to spoon feed, and wipe your ass for the next 25 years .

She is one of the rare ones who understands boys never truly grow up.

She is actually getting more adventuresome herself. Yay!

My wife asked me to bring her scissors quickly.

But seriously, she worries - but she know I worry more. She is begging me to catch her a Halibut from my kayak. In the ocean.

First of all what's with this my wife won't let me? What are the consequences if you do? Jeez, man, if I had to live with that I might want the climb the damn thing and then jump off.

Seriously though, that does seem a bit dangerous. Can't you find something safer to do like Great White Shark wrestling or sky diving from space? How about trying a full blown Moto GP bike for a day?

What she is really saying is: buy a fat life insurance policy, then do what you want.

Did you always do that thing that she is afraid of even before you were married? Did she know coming into the marriage? Did she ask you to stop before you got married? Did you agree?

"Wife won't let me"? What's up with that? Does it work both ways? Of course not. LOL #NeverAgain
