smoke..and my asthma.
my asthma normally barely a blip on my radar. i might cough a bit when i am exerting myself..like hiking up a mountain side to sneak up on a deer or elk. officially that is the WORST time ever to cough. a human cough carries for miles. :)
mountain biking.. coughing is a possibility. now with all this smoke, i am almost wheezy at times. sleeping i will cough myself awake. i don't get the Hollywood asthma attack ever..i don't even know if that is a real thing. my luxurious sleep pattern is affected. this smoke is too much..it sucks. i loaded up my kayak to fish the Russian river today after a 10am meeting..but i might pull the plug. the smoke is getting worse as i head west. the river is west of me now. i carry my emergency inhaler, and i am now following my maintenance dose of the "other stuff". |
yuk. i'm wearing an N95 inside my office. hahahha..

I don't have asthma problems but I can say the smoke is starting to bother me. I can taste it 24/7 and my nose & throat are getting sore. I started using the netty-pot day and night and that is helping clear me out. This morning I have a slight headache and I never get those so I'm attributing it to the smoke.
Ash has been coming in thru our vents at work and everyone's desks are constantly dusty; I can imaging that that is how my lungs are looking too. I've been wearing a mask while driving (for the smoke, not the virus), I may switch to N95 since I have a few of those. |
netty pot..good idea!

Unless maybe you were to combine the two, strong case of the squirts while hiking up a mountain to sneak up on a critter. That would probably be the worst. |
who the hell was in charge of coming up with the spelling of "asthma"?
am i pronouncing it wrong? "TH?" :D probably the same dickhead in charge of Quinoa. |
That sucks for you guys, and especially if you've got breathing problems already.

We've got a road here, Kuykendahl. Pronounced locally as "kirk-in-doll" |
Wear the best masks you can. The range of stuff in wildfires, forest fires is not for the faint of heart:
https://www.timetocleanse.com/detox-naturally-from-wildfire-smoke/ We I was flying commercial UAS, we worked with a firm in Petaluma and flew into smoke plumes with chemical sensors. Scary stuff...HAZMAT level stuff. Mask up, detox when you can. |
N95 at work today, for me. i gotta work outside.
bad enough up here. must be nasty down there. the purple air app map is a sea of red. |

On topic. You do have an emergency inhaler on hand? |

Except avoid the smoke as much as possible. It's less than a mile visibility up in the Seattle region and my N95's... I can still smell the smoke.. (not good) Indoors I have the furnace fan running on summer mode, just to filter the indoor air as much as possible. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1599920914.jpg |

It's been around a long time. |
My wife doesn't want me to go autocrossing because of all these unhealthy air quality... even if I had an N95. I'm going. But I bet if I start coughing I will not hear the end of it.
