Ant Anstead marriage over

He is a good car guy but his 2 year marriage to Christina is over . Something not quite right about that girl .

looneybin 09-18-2020 04:52 PM

He could not take hearing her voice any longer like fingernails on a chalkboard

MRM 09-18-2020 05:17 PM

I had the vague impression that Adam died in a motorcycle accident. I see I confused him for Falco. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falco_(musician) I am happy to see he is alive and well but sorry to hear of his family situation.

Not taking sides but he heard the voice when he was courting her.

It's the words.

pwd72s 09-18-2020 05:38 PM

Who the HELL are you guys talking about?

URY914 09-18-2020 05:47 PM

Good for him.

wildthing 09-18-2020 05:48 PM

He finally saw her without make up.

I kid. I kid. I'm sure it's sad on a personal level.

She’s racking up the child support income.

Adam Ant was a British new wave/punk rock singer from the late 70s/early 80s. He was huge in Great Britain and popular in the college/underground music scene in the US. He had some great songs like Stand and Deliver, an allegory about being robbed by highwaymen, but his best known song in the US was the more pop and insipid Goody Two Shoes which was nominally about people being different on the inside than they appear on the outside. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Ant

Falco was an Austrian new wave/punk singer who charted the surprise novelty hit Amadeus a few years later. It was a silly song but Falco was a talented artist. Unfortunately he died young in a motorcycle accident. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falco_(musician) They are easy to confuse single they were in the same genre, look similar, and were popular in the same general timeframe.

Except this is about a mechanic...

ckelly78z 09-18-2020 06:17 PM

Ant Anstead is a car guy who does most of the wrenching on Wheeler/Dealers https://www.topgearbox.com/cars/entertainment/wheeler-dealers/was-edd-china-right-has-wheeler-dealers-reduced-workshop-time/TV show

Adam Ant was a pop star from the 80s https://news.hamlethub.com/ridgefield/events/60550-adam-ant-plays-his-greatest-hits-at-the-ridgefield-playhouse-on-july-22-enter-the-best-dressed-for-the-80s-contest

MRM 09-18-2020 06:36 PM

So you’re saying he was the singer from Mike & the Mechanics? Well who knew? I guess the 80s are in style again.

dafischer 09-18-2020 07:02 PM

Way back in the early days before Wayne created the off topic board, one of the regular posters used the name Mike the Mechanic in an obvious homage to the 80s band. He was really a good guy too. I don’t know if he’s still on the technical board. I had no idea who Ant Anstead was until I looked him up, but the coincidental name was too good to pass up.
