New Bill Murray movie "On The Rocks"

Looks interesting

I posted this pic thinking it was a 356, but now I think it's an Alfa. My mistake.

In the short he's getting driven around in a W140 S Class.

After watching that I can't help but feel Sophia is trying to recapture the magic of "Lost in Translation".
That was a great movie but the whispering in her ear at the end was a real cop out.

The whisper?. Nahhhh... Lame IMO

because I'd bet even Sofia Coppola couldn't tell you what was said.

Thats the point. Delicious ambiguity.

IRL... What would an old man say to a young married woman in a situation like that?

"I'll wait for you" ... "You smell nice" ... "I'll miss you" ... "I'll always love you"

She smiled so it was something she wanted to hear.

I watched "Lost in Translation." I love Japan, and like both actors, but I was bored. It didn't really do it for me.

I liked the movie and the ending hadn't really made an impression on me one way or another until seeing it mentioned here. I watched it a couple of times and think I like it. I listened closely and came up with dialog that I thought was perfect for the scene and to end the movie. Then I searched a little and found that through the magic of the internet, someone did convincingly figure out what Bill said. It was exquisitely eloquent. You can search if you want, but you may be more satisfied with your own interpretation, which was the point. Whatever the truth of the dialog is, her response showed they still shared the secret connection they forged in Tokyo. Which is the real meaning of the movie - a true, deep human connection transcends the environment where it was forged.

Apparently both Murray's dialog and the final kiss were improvised.

It can't be any worse than the last movie he did, the dead don't die. In fact, NOTHING can be worse.

But I've watched it three times
