 Colorado Fun Run?

Look to be a couple Taycans in that mix. But given the late-modelness of all the vehicles involved, I don't think they'd even invite a bunch of air-cooled guys to tag along.

That does look like a bunch of new cars, maybe a dealer run of some type?

The article says that the vehicles pulled over look like SUVs and sedans. Several 911s and Caymans in the photo, however.
To the casual viewer Porsches just don't look like sports cars anymore, they've gotten so large and bloated. |

On a local post of that "news story" a guy claimed to be driving the black 911 in the picture and said they were doing 55 not 80 as claimed in the article.

I’m not familiar with this group but easy to get up to crazy speeds with these. Roads around here are way to crowded for this anyway. Get thee to the track IMO....

On the way to Cars and Coffee.
"It wasn't my fault Officer. I had to go as fast as I can as the coffee was getting cold." |

Back in 1987 or so I was the service manager for a moto dealer... Used to lead group rides on the weekends up in the mountains of NW AR. Back then we could ride pretty much how we wanted as long as we stayed subdued around the towns and blitzed out in the rural areas. Had a type A in the back of our group who pulled a wheelie in town as we were leaving. about 20 miles down the road a road block awaited us. We all got $100 tickets. most of us laughed it off as track fees and got the City Chief to get his picture taken with us.

Looks like one of those b.s. 40 mph zones out in the middle of nowhere. It's easy to respect the speed limit and slow down in areas in which that limit suits the location and circumstances. Granted, the photo shown is only a snapshot of a single location, where they happened to pull over, but if the rest of the road looks like that - well, umm... it's that kind of nonsense that breeds disrespect for speed limits and speed enforcement in this country.

When I lived in CO, a group of 10 to 20 would plan a fun drive through the San Isabel Forest to Bishop's Castle, there were lots of air cooled 911s, Ferraris, BMWs etc. This was an annual event and admittingly, there were times were the speeds *might* have been on the high-ish side :)

There but for the grace of god go I.
As a wise man said. It ok to be crazy, just don't be stupid. Their speeds were stupid. |

Seems unlikely to me that a good laywer can't throw these out.
There's no way the police can do 10 accurate speed measurements and come up with exactly 40mph over the limit for all of them |

Nobody should be going that fast in such a congested area. Those rocks could dart out into the road at anytime. No, play safe. No one needs the horror for you or the rock family.
