Marlin goes to Ruger
 

With the Remington going out of business, Marlin went to Ruger. Ruger is not known for lever rifles, so this may be a good way to fill out that portion of the portfolio.

Any thoughts on the acquisition or any of the Remington spin-offs?

Still in the market for a Lever .357. With Marlin unobtanium and not wanting to spend $1300-$2000 on a Winchester clone, I guess I'm left with Rossi.

Rossi has a very handy looking 16.25" barrel Level in .357 that are going for ~$600, plus fees.
