Check This Out Circa 1970

So all, check this out! This event was basically Bluegrass Woodstock at the time, just outside the little country town I grew up. I remember my family going, and once there we all split up to see the various acts on different stages and observe the happenin's. I was @11 at the time and saw everything from guys in multi-color sparkley Nudie suits (the designer to the stars) down to Hells Angels members all walking around.

I don't think I saw any fights or people getting way out of hand, just a good time where there was a wall of music all around, everywhere you'd walk.

Look at some of the names on the flyer...………….

Rename the extension from PNG to JPG and try uploading it again.

Pelican doesn't allow upload of .png image files, only .jpg. If you had a link to the file somewhere else on the Internet then you could just link it using the [ img ] [ /img ] stuff.

If you're going to upload, you'll have to convert to .jpg or .gif.

Jerry wanted to play with Bill Munro IIRC

he went all the way across the US and hung out in front of him but being very young didn't realize he had to at least ask for a spot

The guy with the tie in the pics was a big time local disc jockey on an AM radio station here back in the day. His name was Tom-Cat Reeder. They had a very powerful signal that was far reaching even in mountainous terrain. The building is still there about 5 mins from my home.

The station's call letters WKCW - otherwise known as 'Big K' radio.
