T-shirt subtleties
I'm having t-shirts made to include in every customer's order. Picked up a test shirt today, this has been digitally printed using an inkjet that prints on shirts. Pros: it's a an exact rendering of the original art so you get the original shading. Cons: It doesn't have the same pop as screen printing. It will fade a lot in the wash. Very expensive. What do you think? Note that the colors are little richer and deeper in the pics than in real life. In real life it looks nice but looks better in pics.
Does anyone care about stuff like this? Art by Miha Furlan here on Pelican. ![]() ![]()

I am slowly getting rid of all the T-shirts I have that have text on them. I finally bought some plain Carthart Tees last spring and I've gotten used to not being a walking billboard. I like it.

I'd have to see and touch an XL in person to give an educated opinion.
![]() Actually - it looks pretty nice!

I am moving to t-shirts, flannel, and jeans. I work from home mostly. Typing in a t-shirt right now.
Cool shirt. There is a certain cred that comes from a faded out shirt. Like now. It is one I got as a Boy Scout leader 5-6 years ago. The fade can be an asset or part of the style. Other than cost, I don't really see a disadvantage. Final thought, I like the artwork. |

That said, t-shirts with designs on them are easy to not wear to the shop. I'll take one if you ever end up selling as I like that Peter Gregg car and the shirt looks dense. I have one with that picture but the material is too thin.

I'd like it better if the print was on the back, not the front. Maybe that's just me though.

Already tested several designs on FB and while people did want a Tru6 logo on the front and this on the back, it wasn't too many and it's cost prohibitive.

Indeed. here's the one I printed 10 years ago. and here are the silk screen dryer heating elements used to cure it, black rectangles at bottom. How times change.

That is super cool! I bought some 70s and 80s vintage Porsche shirts on Classifieds here. Love them.

Actually it's quite warm as it has a fleece backing on it. Very toasty for those cold winter So Cal nights.

Nice looking shirt.
Unfortunately, this isn't the thread that I thought it would be... |

I just get Carharts. I bought one of the long tees thinking it would be a good fit but I don't like it - on me. MrsWD claimed it and I have to admit it looks good on her - especially when she plays, "Guess if I'm wearing panties."
