Made my first road trip since breaking in the rebuilt engine yesterday and today. The whole trip was about 1200 Kms (750 miles) from Salmon Arm, BC to Cranbrook, BC. The best part was the top was down the whole trip, both ways!
![]() My trip took me East to Revelstoke and Golden, BC; then Directly South to Radium, Invermere and Fairmount Hot Springs connecting to Crowsnest Pass Hwy #3 to Cranbrook. There was a fair bit of traffic on Monday, the tail of the Easter weekend, but very little traffic today. I made lots of stops at rest pits and enjoyed the time on the road. No events with traffic patrol, but one close call at Radium? The car ran great, my face is a little red from all the sun and it was a little cold through the Rockies at Rogers Pass; but what a great trip! Too bad my project in Cranbrook is almost finished, drove there many times in the crappiest weather all winter. I'm off for a short trip to Kamloops tomorrow (about 3 hrs return), gotta love being paid to drive my Porsche!!!!! Who'da thunk? There's a road trip being planned from Vancouver to Osoyos on May 4th, log onto the Canadian site for more info.... any other road trip experiences out there....... (Note: posted OT as it was not of a "technical" content - Brownie Pts.)

What's the temperature up there? We are sitting at 75 degrees F here, and around 50 degrees at night. This is incredible Porsche weather.

Jurgen,
We're running 1 or 2 degrees cooler here right now, but still very nice Porsche weather too. I like to break out the T-shirts and shorts as early as possible! I was water skiing 2 weeks ago and we've just organized for next year a "Quad" day where we're going to snow ski in the morning, ride our mountain bikes down the hill to the lake, water ski and then go golfing, all in the same day! Then we're going to eMail our friends in Alberta, Sask. and Mant. - Hah hahaha I love living in BC!

I finally got my 930 back last night from over a month at the shop. I'm (we're) so glad to have it back.
