I voted today

Hey guys so my wife and I live in rural Ga. mountains and we decided to vote early in anticipation of long lines on election day . We are both retired so our schedule is quite flexible 😁 . So we drove to our polling place and put on our masks . Arrived around 10 AM there were about 8 people ahead of us .

Within 15 minutes we were both done . The line of folks behind us had grown but still reasonable. There were zero issues inside or outside the facility everyone involved did a great job . We both feel good about doing our civil duty and glad it's behind us.

No political agenda to my post just thought I would start the topic so others could join in if they want with their experiences .

I voted yesterday .... total time 25 minutes. Long enough line for a Tue @ 10:15... buncha retired, rich, old geezers .... I did not fit in :D.

Voted yesterday, no line. In our county, the website updates with the line count/wait time for each location. And the little tablet/ID device our county designed works extremely well if you present your driver's license.

My polling place early results show red-beard and Biden in a very tight race for second place ;)

Of course you were allowed to vote. You and your wife are white.

Wife and I voted last week. Dropped the ballots off at the collection box at the park.
Checked on them last night and they've been accepted and will be counted when the counting starts.:D

I voted yesterday as well and it took 1.5 hours. The line got longer as time passed. Got there at 10 Am and left at 11:30.

I voted yesterday. A bunch of young dumbass punks. I didn’t fit in.

We voted Sun. We got there about 10 mins before they opened, and were 10-15 in line. We were inside at about 1205, so about 15 mins. No weirdness or drama. We did have one lady walk up to the employee that was outside directing and ask "what are the requirements for me to drive up for the curbside voting?" The lady told her, "I can't ask you anything." The lady then said "I'm 70, I feel like that qualifies me." The worker then said "well, you're almost as old as me." (I think that was a dig). The lazy, spry 70 year old then hot-footed it back to her Mercedes and drove up. The good news is that she then had to wait for someone to come get her, so she still ended up having to wait.

I would have preferred to get out during the week between 9 and 11, because I think we'd have pretty much walked right in, but it wasn't bad, and it's nice to have it completed.

Going to take the 911 out for a quick spin and drop my ballot off at the courthouse right now.

KFC911 10-21-2020 12:14 PM

Oh yeah... my voting time today was earlier... mebbe 10ish... or not. I've yet to see a Keg .... lotsa votes still to go!

onewhippedpuppy 10-21-2020 12:25 PM

I like waiting for the actual day, feels more official. I’ve never waited more than about 20 minutes at the church that is my “assigned” voting location, so we’ll see about this year.

I'm sorry, I'm busy testing the vaccine at a Sorority house. Plenty of white wine here...

Racerbvd 10-21-2020 01:11 PM

I also voted today, still a line, but the last few days around the building. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1603314619.jpg
