Power door lock question
Having issues with my power door locks. From the master switch when locking or unlocking the switch will work its door (driver door) and the rear hatch. neither back door or passenger front will lock or unlock. The passenger switch will lock and unlock the rear hatch. None of the other doors including it's self. The rear doors do not have switches. All windows work.
I have already replaced the master switch. Assuming the new master is not bad any thoughts on the problem? |
It will help some if you mention the brand, year and model of car.
Is it a 60s Lincoln or a 2015 Honda? |

I’d look at the door jamb wiring. Happens a lot to the left rear door of the 2010-2015 F150’s.

Repeated shutting of doors will kink the wires enough to break or damage them at the hinges.
However I don't think that is the problem. The driver's door has the same OEM wires...and gets 95% of the use...but is still working fine. I think inactivity is the problem. The grease inside the mechanisms has seized up after thirteen years. Spray some WD-30 into everything and see if it works again. |
