Good portable speaker?
I'm always impressed at the range of good feedback on this forum. So I'm asking, what's a good, small, portable speaker? I like to play music at our art group via Spotify on my phone.

Marshall Amps makes several bluetooth speakers- 1 of which is dual powered. Best part is that is they look like their full size amps even incorporating the same pots / switches. I have one of the medium sized models, sound is amazing

$26 from Amazon.
I have 3 of them and use them every day. LED Bluetooth Speaker,Night Light Changing Wireless Speaker,MIANOVA Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker 6 Color LED Themes,Handsfree/Phone/PC/MicroSD/USB Disk/AUX-in/TWS Supported I use flash drives with them but they also work with blue tooth as you can see. |
If waterproof is one of your criteria, I'll throw the JBL Charge or Flip into the mix. I haven't bought one but seriously considering one...

A friend has the Harman Kardon Onyx studio 3 or 4, it sounds great.

Take a look at the Ultimate Ears (UE) "Boom" series. They have several different models.

Good portable speaker?
I posted this before and I can’t speak to the quality of the sound nor is it the biggest bargain but it comes with a gasoline powered charger.

Bose is hard to beat if you like higher end sound. I have the older cone shaped portable Bluetooth speaker. It is amazing how good it sounds.

I have the Bose little round and Sonos.
Bose has great sound for the size and power lasts a long time but I play from my phone and it only allows 2 devices to connect at a time. I have like 8 devices in our house between ipads, phones, computers etc. and there is no control at the bose side of what it connects to. I find I have to go find iphones and turn off their bluetooth before I can play a song. Other times Im upstairs and suddenly sound on my phone goes dead-because its started playing on the bose downstairs. the Sonos is awesome but not as portable (maybe just the one I have). I have had multiple people connected through their software and it works fine. you ever play the game where one person plays a song and the next person has to queue up a song after that links to the previous song in some way (another song about sailing, same initials as artist,) and people have to guess the connection first. I can play that on SOnos iwth like 5 diff people, it would never work with the Bose hope that helps |

I run my Bose SoundLink Mini all day, every day when working from home or just lounging around. I've had it for about seven years and had to replace the battery for $40ish about a year ago. My only complaint is that I can't use it as a speaker phone. My voicemail will play through it, but it doesn't have a mic.
