found all the low overheads my first 2 weeks on the Ranger.
I was on the Kitty Hawk and one day walking through the Hanger Bay my buddy....who isn't overly tall....wasn't paying attention and whacked his forehead on one of the tail wings.....of an F-14. Knocked him down. Luckily we were going slow at that moment. Didn't even cut the skin. He was lucky.

Never really in harm's way, but surviving 13 years in the 5-sided Puzzle Palace with my sanity (mostly) intact has got to be worth something :)

U.S. Navy Reserves, '80-'86. Acoustic Sensor Operator. Me and about 10 other guys would fly from Bermuda to Portugal in a Lockheed P-3 Orion tracking Soviet submarines based on their electrical noise patterns. Home base was with VP-62 in NAS Jax, Fla., and VP-94 out of New Orleans. Here's a 'C' model, which is being phased by the P-8 Poseidon (based on the 737).

I could tell you... but then I'd have to make this whole site disappear. ;)

Actually, it's been a few years since I was at CYBERCOM. I'm currently enjoying the relatively low Ops Tempo and predictable mission of IT support to the Air Force's senior leader warfighting courses.
