Our house, is a very very very fine house

with two cats in the yard, (well not right now) they're never home when you want them, and we're trying to make it very fine, big job though.

Also the city has the street at our front door all tore up for new pipes or something, and two kitty cornered houses being rebuilt also. Busy, crazy busy. Could be worse, I guess. PS that's a brand new lift, very mod, the last one we used 25 yrs ago was a piece of junk. Thanks for lookin'

Saw many, many houses trimmed white on the corners like that on my Canadian trip in 2018.

It's classy and tasteful.

I like the whole vibe, colors, chimney, trim, etc.

Hard to do. It looks great. Roof is good as well.

Such a cozy room.

My thoughts too.....

Father wears his Sunday best
Mother's tired, she needs a rest
The kids are playing up downstairs
Sister's sighing in her sleep (ah)
Brother's got a date to keep, he can't hang around

Looks great, more than fine, good choice of colours too!

A very tidy home in grand NE fashion. Well done!

We are in project mode as well but a bit behind the curve right now. Clearing out the garage, the attic storage, the storage shed of any and all unnecessary stuff. Next comes a truss support and new sliding glass door, then patch and paint.

those chimneys are wonderful.

sucks we can have those here. they would snap like twigs in an earthquake and come thru the roof.

I've cringed at many obvious under-supported front porches.
That one looks about right to me.

In twenty years, when the next round of improvements begin, consider putting on a 50yr metal roof.

It is a very fine house, I like it!

On a trivial note, since you brought up the song, I nearly moved into the house the song was written about, around 20 years ago as a renter. I knew someone who was already renting it and he wanted to split the place, kind of glad I went a different way but the house is cool...still owned by Joni Mitchell, of course.

If anyone wants to see it on an LA trip, it’s the first house on the right when you turn up Lookout Mountain Road from Laurel Canyon.

Thank you all for looking, and we appreciate your kind and positive remarks.

Oh, and BTW we intend to install a metal roof ASAP as our shingles are getting mossy
and some are thinking about leaking, soon I think.
