Neat Little Emergency Air Compressor

Sold out right now, but this looks like a really good thing for spouses and dopey kids (like mine)...

Tired of terribly inaccurate tire pressure gauges? We’ve tested this compressor’s gauge against a $150 professional gauge, and it was spot-on accurate!

Ever try finding a tire’s schrader valve in the dark! No worries, the Auslander air compressor has a built-in spotlight!

The Auslander V-Air compressor fits comfortably in your glovebox and will be the gadget all your friends are going to want when they see it! This tool is not only compact, its 30,000 mAh battery has enough juice to inflate six car tires from empty! Simply set the desired PSI inflate level with the keypad, connect to your tire, hit the on/off button, and the compressor will shut off when it reaches the right point.

•Inflates up to 180 PSI

•Ultra-quiet 78db motor

•Includes extra attachments and cord

That's a very cool piece of kit.

One caution in the fine print though: "All products for sale on our website are in USED “LIKE NEW” condition."

Looks like this one on Amazon.

Wonder if the same, rebranded?

Looks similar but my main concern would be the one you listed says its a 2000mAh battery, while the OP's said it has a 30,000mAh, which is a huge difference.

Not sure how useful being able to inflate 6 tires without recharging is, seeing that I would think 99% of the time inflating just one is required, so maybe battery size isnt a huge issue.

RWebb 11-18-2020 09:37 AM

Milwaukee, et al. have cordless compressors/inflators in their lineups. Co$$ts more tho.

At 79dB it's not "Ultra-quiet" as advertised. That's freakin' loud! But who cares. I just see stuff like that and wonder what else they've exaggerated.

Just looking at the pictures, it seems unlikely the one in the OP has 15x the battery of the one on Amazon.

They say that about EVERYTHING on their website, even decals. I think it's for legal reasons. They sell some 'branded' car decals that are hard to find because the manufacturers protect their name/trademark. Reselling 'used' decals gets around that problem.

I would expect the compressor to be brand new...

78 dB is 'washing machine' level. Any small air compressor is going to be annoyingly loud up close.

And there's no distance specified, so it's a bogus number.

I have the harbor freight version of this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078LYX5YF/ref=sspa_dk_detail_3?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B078LYX5YF&pd_r d_w=xs2WG&pf_rd_p=f0355a48-7e73-489a-9590-564e12837b93&pd_rd_wg=X6xFp&pf_rd_r=R6KYPVY72CA210 WZAWB2&pd_rd_r=8f2f0d0b-597c-4a31-a88c-982774fa673a&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFIME83 WlkxRk1YS0cmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA3NzE2NTkySVNTTVoyR0 MxWkwxJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA5MjAyODYzU0NFTjRMMDBT WFZDJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsX3RoZW1hdGljJmFjdG lvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

which I adapted to use with a dewalt battery, by 3d printing something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Adapter-Dewalt-Connector-Robotics/dp/B08FCNP2R6/ref=sr_1_14?crid=129CF1N4H7RM7&dchild=1&keywords=d ewalt+battery+adapter&qid=1605729057&sprefix=dewal t+battery+%2Caps%2C187&sr=8-14

Works really well and I always have a dewalt battery on hand. I struggle to believe a tiny self powered compressor will work all that well. It certainly doesnt have 30,000 mAh of capacity in any sense even if that number doesnt mean much without a voltage. I am sure it has a couple 18650 cells at best.

I have one that plugs into the cig. lighter socket that I keep in my truck.

Then the bigger one in the garage.

Do I need a third one?

Maybe you can find on 'curbside'. :)

sugarwood 11-18-2020 01:40 PM

When you have a flat, you're not going to give a **** about the volume

sugarwood 11-18-2020 01:41 PM

That's not the HF version of anything. It's a totally different product. The thing OP posted fits in your pocket or glovebox.

dad911 11-18-2020 02:22 PM

30,000 mAh is 30 Amp-Hours.

30 Amps for an hour out of that battery?

greglepore 11-18-2020 04:20 PM

There's a review of this thing on cyclingtips.com under the Amazon name. Upshot? On a bicycle tire (granted 90 psi) it works great if you have time to meditate while the tire inflates.

I said "who cares." You're quick with criticism. I wasn't the one who pissed in your bran flakes. And that wasn't the point of my post. Or did you miss that?

Harbor freight version of the link that follow, hence the colon followed by the link

OP's tiny pump seems cool, but I am extraordinarily suspect of its claims

wildthing 11-19-2020 10:24 AM

Yeah you're not going to get my wife to even unscrew a valve cap.

1990C4S 11-19-2020 10:25 AM

I would be happy with the 'shut-off' feature and no battery. I'm good using the cigarette lighter.
