Fuchs.... They are REAL. My car finally gives something back.
Pulled the wheels off to bleed the brakes, and wow they are light. It was listed as having Fuchs, but like many things in the listing I figured it had fakes.
Nope, there he is the little fox stamp in the cast. These are honestly the lightest wheel I have ever felt. Maybe she has decided to start being nice to me. |
? Ok?...

If you can get your car to where you are happy with it, they can be very rewarding to drive and own.

Freddy, my 911 has a history of punching me in the face, so this was a pleasant find.

You know he's ******* with him, right?;) |
A lot of people are stilling running them in the track. I often wonder how strong are they really since many are getting up there in age, and pushed hard, so fatigue maybe a problem? I have the real deal refinished on my 72, 7s and 8s. I think about it sometimes wham I look down at my speedo at 85 or 90.

I've never even thought about those wheels, in terms of any sort of failure. We have a very active vintage racing group up here as well, well populated with longhood 911's, who must run those wheels because they are correct for the years of the cars. I have never heard of one failing in any way. While I'm pretty darn sure we are just fine, I would be very interested to learn of any failures anyone has experienced. Very interested... Yea Puppy, since a few things on the car were not as listed this is a pleasant turn out... sorry for trying to find a silver lining.
Sugar, I truly do not like you. :D |
