Without argument. The only person who is wrong is the one who lacks enthusiasm and/or is not willing to express their enthusiasm. And even they are entitled to their opinion. |
I've always liked you, Baz. Appreciate your contributions, man.

The Fresh Phenom who won the game is a good friend with Paige B., the Fresh Phenom at U Conn.
Both from Minn. |
They were distanced out..why couldn't they sing the National Anthem without masks?

I've counted 6 uncalled fouls against Baylor so far.
Hard to compete against that kind of incompetence..... |
I have no favorite in this game.
I just hope Raftery retires this year. |
Baz, I have seen at least that many uncalled fouls against Gonzaga. Respectfully. You really don't like Gonzaga, I think. Are you imagining that the #1 team in the nation should be trailing in this game by 35 points?
I did see one BAD call against Baylor. Baylor is playing very very well. |
Baylor isn't a little bit better, they are a lot better. Being from Texas, I have to root for them.

The flagrant foul called on Baylor against Suggs appears to have been called only because it was in the middle of court, with no one around, and everybody saw it. At one point, I saw a shooting foul against Baylor called as a tip out of bounds (Baylor guy's arm was across both of the Gonzaga player's arms) and then not more than fifteen seconds later, Gonzaga was called for a shooting foul against Baylor and the Gonzaga guy never touched the Baylor player. Only the ball.
That said, Baylor played an amazing game. Very quick, very aggressive. I'm not sure how the game would have ended had the officials called more of the very obvious Baylor fouls, but Baylor placed a dominating game. Had the game been called appropriately, they very possibly would still have won. Tip of the hat to Baylor. |
I'm from Spokane but not FROM Spokane if that makes sense. I moved here in 2013. My stepson is a masters student there but not really into the "Zags" per se. He's a 35 year old returning student just wanting to graduate. The refs let them play, on both sides. Baylor is just is a ton better than Gonzaga. I think that's what happens when your undefeated season is built on wins against Dixie State, Pacific, San Diego State........

Well Baylor certainly played well. Their speed and energy, compared to that of Gonzaga, was dominating. Congrats to those young men.
I notice that Gonzaga seems to have an annual place-holder in March Madness and I notice that Kansas, Virginia, West Virginia and Iowa are top-twenty teams which Gonzaga defeated this season. Suggs might be the first overall draft pick and other Gonzaga players will also be taken. At least, when their times come. Gonzaga was ranked #1 in the nation. This does not seem to me like second rate performance. |
Gonzaga was owned from the opening tip. Destroyed then toyed. The outcome would have been the same whether it was Michigan, Ohio State, UCLA, Alabama.
Baylor was far better than any other collegiate team. Post#66. |
