Oh yeah, I can see where that 2 week trip by the original owner took a real toll on that.
Sheesh, that thing looks like new!

That thing looks really clean inside, well done.

Looks great!

I have had my 2011 Keystone raptor since new and am still on every original appliance etc., if you have any questions don't hesitate reaching out. Mine gets 4 seasons of use too as it is our basecamp for elk hunting season.

Thanks, guys.
Couple of little things I need to work on.
Obviously the tires and bearings repack and axle seals. Will check the brakes individually when the wheels are off. The big sliding blind in the slide/dinette needs to have the tension adjusted. Looks like something had slid off the table and knocked the anchor for the string loose and also pulled the screen loose from that corner. One of the struts for the under bed storage has broken off. Think it was seized. Stays open fine with one strut anyway.
Will be replacing the queen mattress (it is full size, not rv size) with something with more support.
Looking at options to install a lockable dual battery box on the tongue behind the propane tanks. Would also like to lock down tanks. Maybe a quiet generator in the works too.
Other than that, transferring our camper gear to the trailer in the spring we should be in decent shape to go.
Will be looking for a canopy/cap for the old GMC to keep the bikes out of sight and some of the other camping gear.

Are the water lines currently blown out, or do they have RV antifreeze garbage in them?

billybek 12-10-2020 12:55 PM

RV antifreeze.
The plug was in on the water heater but it was isolated and empty of water and the bypass was open.

911boost 12-10-2020 01:05 PM

Be careful with that stuff as it will stain lots of flooring types and the sinks, tub etc. My 2001 Keystone has the ability to pump that through the system or blow it out. I have always blown it out at the end of the season and then again after hunting in November at very cold temps. The only thing I use the RV antifreeze for is a little carefully poured down the traps.

I still have all of my original appliances but I did have one friend with a newer one that had his hot water tank crack. While blowing mine out I take the plug out and inspect the rod at the same time.

Yes that stuff does make a bit of a mess. I had to work at a couple of stains under the faucets and in the shower pan to get them out.
In my old camper I would run the antifreeze through and then drain it off. As long as it cannot freeze hard the pipe usually survives.
