Sooner or later 11-29-2020 07:35 PM

I don't hate myself that much.

That's a lot of "truck" for $800 and I'm betting there are some good parts in there somewhere.

I was worried it was black humor and a gun ad.

I like the new Bronco. :)

To answer the question, no, not even a little bit.

And I sure don't need an ugly project truck.

Hard pass.

He forgot to mention
Shines when wet
Ran like a new truck when it was new

Sometimes Me doesn't get along with Myself, I then steps in and tells them to STFU and smell the coffee.

The 1987-1992 Ford Bricknose F150s were some of the uglier trucks built, it doesn't help the ad that the owner has a bad attitude, and is readily apparent that he treated the truck like a red headed stepchild. It may make a good woodhauler, or parts truck.

Satire.... it's a clunker no doubt.

sc_rufctr 11-30-2020 04:46 PM

I'd really like something likes this...

every time i read PARF. i seem to either hate myself, and/or need a shower... however that truck in the driveway might help with my ocd tendencies. thanks for posting... looking for my pill bottles now.....:D

This could be a great buy for someone. This is the kind of project that doesn't require finesse (like the Porsches I'm working on now). It just needs brute force, which can be therapeutic after obsessing over details on a 356. For the same reason, after a few weeks under a 356 I need to go hammer on the '65 VW for a while to blow off steam. This truck could serve the same purpose as my '65 VW.

I did a search from the original link on "Porsche", and I might hate myself this much. ;)

Car was stretched to represent the exact frame dimensions as the real car.
When I saved the jpg I renamed it "Fauxster". :D

Well this one hits a little close to home for me...
We bought a POS 1991 F250 farm truck for hauling crap. My 15 year old son (back in the day) fell in love with this truck. All he wanted for his 16th birthday was for me to "fix" the truck so he could drive it to school. Well to make a long story short, I put over $10K in the POS......and 6 months of my life I will never get back.
After 10 years of using this truck, its not good....but he loved it and I was a good Dad......so maybe worth it.......maybe

And here I was just going to post that this could make a perfect father/son project.
You did it wrong if YOU fixed it. You should have been helping HIM fix it for himself.

We did the work together! But I of course paid for all
He did a really good job, he really surprised me, even down to the wire brushing the frame....he did it and he hung in there. Something we will always remember.

Hate myself? Nah, I think thats is Doped up Goth or young punks on a date less friday or saturday night. Hint; chuck the phone and go party, if you whip yer phone out at a party, just leave, dye yer hair purple or black and listen to The Cure.
